The history of Miraflores goes back to the oldest vestiges found in the archaeological zone of Huaca Pucllana, the ancient ceremonial center of the Lima Culture in Miraflores (200 to 700 AD).
Its architectural lines combine the ancestral charm of old mansions and large houses that speak of the splendor of its past. It also has modern shopping centers, clubs and restaurants that offer national and international cuisine specialties.
Under the same sky, Miraflores brings together first-class hotels, a business area, craft shops, art galleries, theaters and recreational centers of various kinds.
In the last 40 years, Miraflores has become an important commercial and residential area. With the construction of the Vía Expresa and the Circuito de Playas de la Costa Verde in the 1960s, the rapid growth of Miraflores continued.
To admire the Miraflores coastline, there are boardwalks and natural viewpoints from which you can appreciate the sea. The spectacle is accompanied by the beauty of its large parks adorned with a great botanical diversity and the color of the flowers that invite you to explore them and enjoy them in pleasant walks. In this part of the city you will find Parque Kennedy. This large park connects the heart of Miraflores with the Municipality and the church of the Miraculous Virgin and has been transformed into a meeting point.
To the west of Miraflores is the boardwalk where you can see the impressive Pacific Ocean. On clear days, you can even see the entire bay from Chorrillos in the south to Callao in the north.
Miraflores is also distinguished by its nightlife because at sunset, pubs, bistros, pizzerias, "sangucherías", cinema clubs and places that offer theater and various shows open their doors.
