Album 2: la Costa Verde (Seashore)

Surfing out of Lima

How did Peru become the surfing mecca of Latin America:

Lima is the only South American capital with access to the sea and this makes it one of the ideal places for lovers of this sport and although this website is dedicated to Miraflores, many of the tourists we receive are attracted by surfing, and Miraflores It is the "meeting point" and starting point for the different beaches and spas on the coast.

In Lonely Planet magazine, in the article entitled "Catch a wave in these 10 incredible countries to surf", written by Sean Jansen, it is highlighted that Peru shares this select list of ideal countries to ride the best waves on the planet along with Australia, Brazil , Costa Rica, United States, France, Indonesia, Japan, Mexico and South Africa.

Surf  outside Lima

In this album we will show the Pico Alto Beach in Punta Hermosa, 35 km south of Lima, which is a famous resort for the huge wave that forms in its waters, and which is considered a "big wave" and which reaches between 8 to 10 meters high.

To the north, we show Playa Chicama, the longest ocean wave in the world, located 550 km north of Lima, as well as Cabo Blanco and Máncora

The Peruvian coastline along its more than 2,200 kilometers offers surfers from other countries a diversity of beaches and spas where they can ride the best waves in the western South Pacific.
